Soccer Recap: Normandy Comes Up Short

If Normandy was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Crestwood on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Invaders fell just short of the Valley Forge Patriots by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Normandy fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Valley Forge since Saturday.

Normandy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valley Forge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Normandy will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. As for Valley Forge, they will square off against Avon Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
