Liberty piles up the points against Interlake

Recap: Liberty Patriots vs. Interlake Saints

The Liberty Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Interlake, posting a 72-32 win on the road. Liberty has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Liberty was led to victory by Chelsea Irvine and Ella Whitaker. Irvine scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Whitaker dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Irvine has scored all season. Annabelle Le was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Interlake's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Harper Moore, who scored nine points along with two blocks, and Tiffany Shaw who scored ten points. That's the first time this season that Moore posted two or more blocks.

Liberty's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-5. As for Interlake, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Liberty will be playing at home against Tahoma at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. Tahoma is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Interlake, they will take on Sammamish at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Sammamish is ranked 220th, while Interlake is ranked 227th).
