Recap: Wagner Thunderbirds vs. Boerne-Champion Chargers

The Wagner Thunderbirds lost against the Boerne-Champion Chargers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wagner took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boerne-Champion.

Wagner's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Marcus Johnson, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds, and Daimen Ramirez who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emante West, who scored four points.

Wagner's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-11. As for Boerne-Champion, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season.

Wagner will head out on the road to face off against Pieper at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pieper has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests. As for Boerne-Champion, they will be playing at home against Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Boerne-Champion comes in on six and Veterans Memorial on 27.
