Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a blow against the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers, falling 74-38. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 58-29 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westminster Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Aurora Central Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-14.

Westminster Christian and Aurora Central Catholic could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Westminster Christian (ranked 737th) will meet South Beloit (ranked 198th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Aurora Central Catholic will challenge Marmion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 473 places (667 vs. 194).
