Soccer Game Preview: Lake Brantley vs. Apopka

The Lake Brantley Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Apopka Blue Darters at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Brantley's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Lake Brantley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hagerty just ended the team's three-game winning streak back in December of 2024. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Patriots couldn't score was back in November of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Apopka managed to keep up with Hagerty until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Apopka came up short against Hagerty, falling 4-0. The Blue Darters' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Apopka's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lake Brantley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Lake Brantley was able to grind out a solid win over Apopka in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 4-2. Will Lake Brantley repeat their success, or does Apopka have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
