Football Recap: Crestview Piles Up the Points Against Southeast

While Crestview put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Southeast. The Rebels took their match with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over the Pirates. That looming 42-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Jake Noling had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 92 yards and two scores on only eight carries, while also throwing for 158 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Trevor Mcelhaney, who rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Crestview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 271 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Southeast, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestview will challenge Brookfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southeast, they will square off against Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The G-Men will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
