Recap: Eastlake Falcons vs. Montwood Rams
The Eastlake Falcons won against the Montwood Rams last Friday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Eastlake had just enough and edged Montwood out 51-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Eastlake.
Eastlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Brandon led the charge by scoring 18 points along with five assists and two steals. Aaron Vargas was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Eastlake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Montwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.
Eastlake will head out on the road to challenge Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Eastlake a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Montwood will take on Pebble Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Pebble Hills is ranked 347th, while Montwood is ranked 356th).
