             Greenbrier came tearing into  Thursday's  match with nine straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Grovetown Warriors  a   19-0 shutout. Give the Wolfpack's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
 Greenbrier got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kenzie Horton out in front who threw for 133 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of her passes. The dominant performance also gave  Horton a new career-high in  rushing yards (23).
 Greenbrier didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Darcy Bridwell and  Maggie Pangle.
 Greenbrier's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Grovetown,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 8-4 record.
 Greenbrier will host Warren County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Greenbrier will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive. As for Grovetown, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  13-0  defeat against Evans on the 7th.
