Baseball Recap: Cooper Find Success

Cooper took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Corbin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Redhounds on Saturday. Considering the Jaguars' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cooper moved to 5-8-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Corbin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, Cooper and Corbin will both be playing Estill County the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will head out to face the Engineers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Redhounds will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
