Volleyball Game Preview: Cisne Runnin' Lions vs. Carmi-White County Bulldogs

Cisne is 0-5 against Carmi-White County since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Runnin' Lions will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cisne took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Hutsonville/Palestine.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cisne was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Carmi-White County came tearing into Thursday's contest with 19 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Carmi-White County took both sets by at least 21 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-3.

Cisne's victory bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Carmi-White County, their win bumped their record up to 29-2.

Cisne couldn't quite get it done against Carmi-White County when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Runnin' Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
