Baseball Recap: St. Charles North Continues Road Dominance on Saturday

St. Charles North won the last time they faced Jacobs and things went their way on Saturday too. The North Stars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 6-4.

Henry Grimm was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Heimbuch, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

St. Charles North pushed their record up to 19-12 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Jacobs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19 record this season.

St. Charles North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jacobs, they will face off against South Elgin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Storm will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Golden Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
