Football Recap: Thomson Piles Up the Points Against Glenn Hills + How To Watch

While Thomson put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Glenn Hills. The Bulldogs blew past the Spartans 66-0. That looming 66-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Thomson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Noah Merriweather, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown. Merriweather really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run. Dallas HIll was another key player, rushing for 98 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thomson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 369 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The win (which was Thomson's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.7 points on average over those games. As for Glenn Hills, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Thomson and Josey will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Glenn Hills, they will face off against Laney at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Spartans' offense will have their work cut out for them.
