Newell-Fonda lost to Estherville Lincoln Central back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The stars were shining brightly for the Newell-Fonda Mustangs in a 60-43 victory over the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Newell-Fonda's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newell-Fonda will venture away from home to face off against Gehlen Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newell-Fonda is facing Gehlen Catholic at the right time seeing as Gehlen Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Estherville Lincoln Central and Storm Lake will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
