Ryan Remigio Jr Turns in Season-Best Performance

Ryan Remigio Jr produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Del Norte to the win on Friday. Remigio Jr rushed for 229 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Del Norte pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Remigio Jr and Del Norte will take on Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Atticus Enriquez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mt. Carmel over Del Norte

While Atticus Enriquez delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Mt. Carmel. Nobody could stop Enriquez as he picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Mt. Carmel's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. Enriquez and Mt. Carmel will take on Fallbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Riley Valecruz's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Mt. Carmel came up short on Friday despite Riley Valecruz delivering his best game to date. Valecruz picked up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Valecruz is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Fallbrook on Friday. Valecruz picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Kreet Makihele Rounds Out Top Five

Rounding off our Top Five is Kreet Makihele of San Marcos. Makihele threw for 177 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Makihele is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Rancho Bernardo on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Makihele saw the Broncos), he threw for 353 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 14.7 yards per attempt.
