Baseball Recap: Germantown Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Germantown lost against Madison Central last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mavericks took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. Mavericks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Jaguars since on Friday.

Germantown's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13. As for Madison Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Germantown will square off against Seminary at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madison Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Northwest Rankin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Jaguars surely won't give up without a fight.
