Sylmar has gone a perfect 9-0 against Van Nuys recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will challenge the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Van Nuys will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Sylmar extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Spartans put the hurt on Canoga Park with a sharp 48-24 victory. Considering the Spartans have won three contests by more than 23 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Tim Tanner Jr was his usual excellent self, throwing for 254 yards and four TDs on only 18 passes, while also rushing for 100 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Reyleo Reyes was another key player, gaining 103 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Van Nuys hadn't done well against San Fernando recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 32-6 margin over the Tigers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their ten-point performance the matchup before.

Van Nuys' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Sylmar, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Sylmar was able to grind out a solid win over Van Nuys when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 13-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
