Softball Recap: Wheatmore Takes a Loss

Wheatmore lost against Uwharrie Charter Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Wheatmore took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uwharrie Charter Academy. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wheatmore saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Carter, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Wheatmore's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheatmore will host Southwestern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwestern Randolph will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Wheatmore surely won't give up without a fight. As for Uwharrie Charter Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
