Soccer Game Preview: Grapevine vs. Keller Central

The Grapevine Mustangs will be taking part in a tournament against the Keller Central Chargers at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Keller Central took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grapevine, who comes in off a win.

Grapevine is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Texas. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Keller Central kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. 2026 welcomed they with a 3-0 loss courtesy of Lakeview Centennial.

Everything went Grapevine's way against Keller Central when the teams last played back in January of 2022, as Grapevine made off with a 4-1 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
