Basketball Recap: Combs Beats Crismon for Their Second Straight Victory

Combs won the last time they faced Crismon, and Quinmetris Cunningham did his part to make sure it happened again. The Combs Coyotes took down the Crismon Rattlers 65-49 on Thursday thanks in part to Cunningham, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 boards. Cunningham is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Logan Tuckfield was another key player, putting up 13 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game.

Crismon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Charlie Whitsell, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points. Whitsell is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Mason Brown, who posted 11 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Combs and bumps their season record up to 12-10. As for Crismon, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-17.

Combs has already played their next game, a 79-49 defeat against ALA - Queen Creek on the 31st. As for Crismon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-36 loss against Poston Butte on the 31st.
