The Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion will take on the St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill came up short against Thales Academy Rolesville and fell 4-2. While losing is never fun, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 346th, while Thales Academy Rolesville are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, St. Thomas More Academy managed to keep up with Franklin Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Chancellors lost 8-1 to the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, St. Thomas More Academy couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Sadie Noland, which was the first she's scored this season.

St. Thomas More Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
