Softball Recap: Hendersonville Commandos vs. Bentworth Bearcats        
        
		
            
 Hendersonville entered their tilt with Bentworth with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bentworth Bearcats by a score of  6-1  on Friday.
  Bristol Stiles was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Stiles has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Stiles was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 Stiles wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Riley Richardson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.  Katelyn Wenzel was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run.
 Like Hendersonville, Bentworth also got a great game from a two-way player:  Sydney Gonglik. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Gonglik was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Hendersonville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. As for Bentworth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Hendersonville will head out on the road to  take on  Green Hill at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Green Hill: 3.1, Hendersonville: 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Bentworth, they will be staying on the road  on Saturday to face off against Dublin Jerome at 11:00  a.m.
