Baseball Recap: Farmington Falls Short of Rio Rancho in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Farmington can now relate to. They lost 9-2 to the Rio Rancho Rams on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Scorpions in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost six in a row.

Farmington's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Rio Rancho, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.

Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rio Rancho, they will challenge Centennial at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight.
