They never let the McAlester Buffaloes get on the board and left with a 55-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten games by 28 points or more so far this season.
Delijah Matthews continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 66 yards and five touchdowns, while also picking up 31 receiving yards. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Carl Albert also got help from Jacson Webster, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Carl Albert's defense and their five sacks. Joe Thomas was especially locked on to McAlester's QB and sacked him twice. With that strong performance, Thomas is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game. Lebron Royal was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.
Carl Albert's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for McAlester, they moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
Coming up, Carl Albert will venture away from home to challenge Newcastle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Racers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. McAlester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
