Soccer Recap: Friendship Starts Season with Victory at Home

Friendship took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Avoca Central Tigers 3-2. This was payback for Friendship, who suffered a 4-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship will head out to square off against Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Avoca Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alfred-Almond at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
