Softball Recap: Riverton Extends Home Winning Streak to Nine

Riverton entered their tilt with Weber on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Silverwolves, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Lindsey Strieby looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Maggie Hamblin was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Baylee Martinez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Riverton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .792. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Riverton's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Weber, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Riverton will challenge Box Elder at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Weber, they will face off against Westlake at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
