Football Recap: Smithville Wins Going Away Against Oak Park

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kearney, Smithville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took down the Oak Park Northmen 38-21. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Smithville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Oak Park, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Smithville will face off against Excelsior Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oak Park, they will take on Fort Osage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
