Preview: Cascade Christian Challengers vs. South Umpqua Lancers        
        
		
            
 Cascade Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  challenge The South Umpqua Lancers at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Cascade Christian knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully South Umpqua likes a good challenge.
 Cascade Christian can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Friday. They blew past St. Mary's, posting a  60-0 win at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Cascade Christian just coasted through the last quarter.
 Cascade Christian got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ashton Moody out in front who rushed for 14 yards and  a touchdown, and also threw for 132 yards and  a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.  Luke Wilson got in on the action  as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Meanwhile, South Umpqua had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Sutherlin 48-14 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for South Umpqua's ten-point performance the  game before.
 Cascade Christian's victory was  their 21st straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the  contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.57 points. As for South Umpqua, their victory  bumped their record up to 7-2.
 Everything came up roses for Cascade Christian against South Umpqua in their previous matchup  back in October of 2022 as the  squad secured a  35-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cascade Christian since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
