Dakota Dodak was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emily Taylor, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Madason Fisher was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Beal City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .435 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Woodhaven made sure to put some runs up on the board against Clarkston on Saturday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 11-4 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six runs or more this season.
Woodhaven got a massive performance out of Ariel Krueger, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs Krueger has posted since back in June of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.
Woodhaven is on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Beal City, they pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Saturday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Beal City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .445. However, it's not like Woodhaven struggles in that department as they've averaged .402. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
