Baseball Recap: Gibbs Takes a Loss

Gibbs came into this matchup off a tough ten-run defeat last Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Anderson County Mavericks by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Anderson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibbs will welcome McMinn Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson County, they will take on West at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
