Calvin Christian waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Everything went their way against the Escondido Adventist Academy Hawks as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-20.

Calvin Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaidance Katje led the charge by getting six digs and six aces. Katje is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Hoekstra, who had six kills, four digs, and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Calvin Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in nine consecutive contests.

Calvin Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Escondido Adventist Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
