Baseball Recap: Frostproof Comes Up Short

Frostproof was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Region Thunder, falling 14-4. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Thunder from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Frostproof saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Roberts, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Roberts has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Frostproof's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lake Region, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frostproof will face off against Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frostproof has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Lake Region, they will challenge Lake Wales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
