It was a good run, but Nazareth Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Saint Viator Lions, falling 57-36. The Roadrunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Nazareth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Saint Viator, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nazareth Academy and Riverside-Brookfield will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Saint Viator, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Morgan Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Morgan Park's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups.
