Soccer Recap: Williston Takes a Loss

After soaring to eight goals the game before, Williston was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of the Columbia Tigers by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Red Devils seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November.

With the loss, Williston broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-3-1. As for Columbia, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-2.

Williston has already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against Trenton on the 9th. As for Columbia, they will challenge Suwannee at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia is facing Suwannee at the right time seeing as Suwannee is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
