Basketball Recap: Malakoff Comes Up Short

Malakoff and Gunter squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Malakoff had to settle for second. They took a 50-35 bruising from Gunter.

Malakoff's loss dropped their record down to 31-5. As for Gunter, the victory (which was their 21st in a row) raised their record to 33-3.

Malakoff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gunter, they will challenge Winnsboro on Thursday. Winnsboro will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something Gunter surely won't give up without a fight.
