Basketball Game Preview: Alleghany Trojans vs. Grayson County Blue Devils

The Alleghany Trojans will challenge the Grayson County Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alleghany is looking for their season's first win.

Alleghany is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against North Surry on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Trojans took a blow against the Greyhounds, falling 57-16. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-4.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Brooke Sheets and Amelia Annas, who each put up five points. Destiny Revis held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Grayson County made easy work of Carroll County last Monday and carried off a 64-44 victory. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Grayson County's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Alleghany, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
