The Warren Central Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Riverside Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Warren Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Ridgeland 21-0. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Warren Central got a massive performance out of KeKe McKay, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave McKay a new career-high. Kennadi Willaims also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Warren Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .583. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Riverside won against O'Bannon on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the Bulldogs' way against Yazoo City as they made off with a 15-2 victory. The win was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.
The team relied heavily on Paislee Misskelley, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ann Brilye Hankins, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Riverside pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Warren Central, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Warren Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .317. However, it's not like Riverside struggles in that department as they've averaged .359. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Warren Central's way against Riverside in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, as Warren Central made off with a 22-0 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
