Basketball Game Preview: Monument Valley Cougars vs. Many Farms Lobos

The Monument Valley Cougars will take on the Many Farms Lobos in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Monument Valley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Bryce Valley on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Monument Valley was outmatched by Bryce Valley and fell 74-28. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-7.

Despite the defeat, Monument Valley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Caleb Cly went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for Cly.

Meanwhile, Many Farms earned a 50-41 victory over Red Mesa on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Monument Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Many Farms, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
