Baseball Recap: Cottage Hill Christian Academy Falls Short of Thomasville in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cottage Hill Christian Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Thomasville Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent loss being a 4-1 defeat on Friday.

Kyle Arguello spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Cottage Hill Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Stinson, who went 1-for-4 with one run.

Cottage Hill Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Thomasville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-6 record this season.

While Cottage Hill Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
