Volleyball Recap: Brighton Falls Short Against Ranked Mercy

Brighton faced Mercy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marlins. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Marlins recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Brighton's loss dropped their record down to 21-5-2. As for Mercy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Brighton will take on Novi at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercy, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Utica Eisenhower on the 27th.
