Softball Recap: Rossville Beats Perry-Lecompton for Their Fourth Straight Win

Rossville extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 6-4 in the process. They came out on top against the Perry-Lecompton Kaws by a score of 11-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 on Thursday.

As for Perry-Lecompton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Perry-Lecompton's part, Paxton Damme made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Corcoran, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Rossville and Perry-Lecompton will both be playing Hiawatha the next time they take the field. The Kaws will host the Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on May 8.
