Softball Recap: Tuckerman Wins Going Away Against Sloan-Hendrix

Tuckerman's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds with a sharp 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Maegan Richardson and Gracee McGuire did most of the damage at the plate: Richardson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while McGuire went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most hits McGuire has posted over her last seven games. Josie Branch also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Tuckerman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sloan-Hendrix only managed two hits.

Tuckerman's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Sloan-Hendrix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Tuckerman will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Izard County at 3:30 p.m. on March 31st. Sloan-Hendrix will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on March 31st.
