Softball Recap: Bloomington Gets the Win

Bloomington won the last time they faced Vista del Lago and things went their way on Friday too. The Bloomington Bruins won by a run and slipped past the Vista del Lago Ravens 19-18.

The team relied heavily on Ariayana Campo, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Vanessa Chavez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Bloomington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

The victory got Bloomington back to even at 1-1. As for Vista del Lago, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
