Softball Recap: Windber Falls Short of Chestnut Ridge in the Playoffs

Windber and Chestnut Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Windber had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Lions. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Ramblers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Angel James was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Windber's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Chestnut Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Windber does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chestnut Ridge has already played their next matchup (against Everett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
