Basketball Recap: Roger Bacon Drops Season-High Score on Cincinnati Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seven Hills, Roger Bacon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 73-63 win over the Cincinnati Christian Cougars. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Roger Bacon to victory were Christian Byrd and Michael Noszka Jr.. Byrd went 12 of 17 on his way to 31 points in addition to five assists and three steals, while Noszka Jr. went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. With that strong performance, Byrd is now averaging an impressive 18.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Smart, who posted four points and five rebounds.

The victory got Roger Bacon back to even at 2-2. As for Cincinnati Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Roger Bacon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-50 defeat against Clark Montessori on the 13th. As for Cincinnati Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-50 loss against Miami Valley Christian Academy on the 13th.
