If Carey was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dietrich on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Hansen Huskies on Tuesday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Carey started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 26-24, 25-15, 25-23.

Emily Dahlstrom paced Carey's offense, picking up 14 kills. Dahlstrom got some help from Andie Simpson and her 15 assists. Dahlstrom was also a major player on defense: she and Abbi Whittier shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with eight each.

Carey's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Hansen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.
