            Baseball Preview: Fairview Knights vs. Holy Family Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            The Fairview Knights will venture away from home to  take on the Holy Family Tigers  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Fairview took a loss when they played away from home  on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Monarch by a score of  11-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
 Liam Goetz looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side, Fairview got a  massive  performance out of  Jackson Wier, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Wier a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Cooper Neumann, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and four  RBI.
 Fairview was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .469. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Holy Family had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-4  win over Monarch  on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Tigers have posted  since March 8th.
 Austin Mireiter looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He is becoming a predictor of Holy Family's success: when he allows at  most one  earned run the team is 4-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Dustin Bennett, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4.  Xavier Vega also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 The  win  got Fairview back to even at 5-5. As for Holy Family, their  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4.
