Football Recap: Bishop Ryan Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stanley last Friday, Bishop Ryan came back down to earth. The Lions and the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Lions suffered a 22-21 loss. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Bishop Ryan's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bishop Ryan is set to take on their familiar foe South Prairie/Max on Friday. Meanwhile, Des Lacs-Burlington will challenge rival Bottineau on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lakers 12.5, the Braves/Stars 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
