Softball Recap: Greeneville Takes a Loss

Greeneville fell victim to Volunteer and their airtight pitching crew on Sunday. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-0. The Greene Devils have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Greeneville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Volunteer, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Greeneville will take on rival Grainger at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Volunteer is set to challenge their familiar foe Cherokee at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Falcons' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Chiefs have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
