Baseball Game Preview: Lone Oak Buffaloes vs. Commerce Tigers

After both having extra time off, the Lone Oak Buffaloes and the Commerce Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lone Oak came into their game last Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to Prairiland. The defeat continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Commerce was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against Mount Vernon, falling 19-1.

Lone Oak now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Commerce, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Lone Oak might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Commerce in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Lone Oak avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
