Softball Recap: Parrish Community Bulls vs. Venice Indians
There's no place like home for Parrish Community, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Venice Indians 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Bulls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Emmaline Van Beck looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hannah Lewis and Cassidy Ott did most of the damage at the plate: Lewis scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Ott went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits Lewis has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersie Rohde, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
